Brownfield (Special) Service for Bill Blay, 72, of Brownsville will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church Chapel will Mack Streum, pastor of Graham Church of God, offiiating.
Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Blay died Monday, Jan 12, 1998, in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital.
He was born May 16, 1925, in Milburn, OK. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He married Mary Jane Keener on Sept 5, 1965, in Welch. He moved to Brownsfield in 1965. He was a member of Big Lake Masonic Lodge 1203 and First Baptist Church.
He worked for City Service Oil Co. for 20 years, and he established his own drilling company in 1967.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim of Buffalo Gap and Donny of Abilene; two daughters Marri Lynn Rideout of Abilene and Sharla Gibbons of Stanton; sister Mary Sue Duillingham of Duncan, OK; and seven grandchildren.
