Joe Barkley, 60, Fritch, died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday in High Plains Baptist Hospital, Amarillo.
Owner of A-1 Auto Glass, he was a native of Panhandle, and an area resident for 50 years. He was a member of the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge 1355, dual member of Billy Dixon Lodge 1369; a member of the Lubbock Scottish Rite, Borger Council and Commandery, and Order of Eastern Star Chap 811.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one son, James Barkley of Pearl Harbor; one daughter, Linda Barkley of Dallas; one brother, Earl Barkley of Borger; one sister, Louise Herdman of Brownwood; two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with J.B. Nolan of Summerfield officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
Graveside rites will be under the auspices of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge 1355. All Masons are requested to meet at the Masonic Hall at 3 p.m. to participate in the services.
