*Obituary Ray
Ray L. Beard, 73, pioneer Borgan, died at the home of a daughter in Cooper, Tex., early Saturday morning.

Coming to Borger in 1926, Beard later was a member of the Borger police force. He was a member of Isom Masonic Lodge 1242 and of the Baptist church.

Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Dale Stockton of Cooper; an adopted son, Adrian Parker of Minneapolis; a sister, Mrs. Mable Miller of Clear Lake, Iowa; a brother, Jim of Charles City, Iowa, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the chapel in the Blackburn-Shaw-Brown funeral home with the Rev. Clifton Tennison, pastor of the Calvary Baptist church officiating.

Interment will be in the local cemetery, with graveside rites in charge of the Isom Lodge 1242.

Masons are requested to be at the lodge hall at 9 a.m. Monday.

Services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church for Mrs. Rosella Beard, 58, who died at Enlow, Texas Monday afternoon.

Mar. Beard, a resident of this area for more than 20 years, had made her home in Enlow for the past several months.

Survivors include her daughter and her husband, Ray Beard, also of Enlow.

Mrs. Beard was a past matron, Order of the Eastern Star No. 811 Borger, a past oracle of the Royal Neighbors, a past noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge, Borger, and a member of the Women of the Moose.

The body will arrive in Borger Wednesday morning and will rest at the Blackburn-Shaw-Brown Funeral home until time for the services.

Rev. Jeff Moore, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate the service. Interment will be made in Highland Park cemetery under the auspices of the past noble grands of the Order of the Eastern Star. Members of the Rebekah Lodge will be honorary bearers and the officers of the Eastern Star will serve as flower bearers.
