Services for Donald "Bud" Bales, 58, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 22, 1996, in the Crosbyton Church of Christ with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of the Ralls First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Bales died at 11:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 19, 1996, in St. Mary´s Hospital in Lubbock. He was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Crosbyton and married Linda Foy on June 30, 1970, in Ralls. He was a member of the Church of Christ and lived in the Crosbyton area all of his life. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Crosbyton Athletic Booster club.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Bales; his mother, Ruby Bales; two sons, Donald Bales and Deverett Bales both of Crosbyton; three daughters, Donna Harris of Ralls and Debbie Bales and Dedra Bales, both of Crosbyton; a brother, Everett Eugene Bales of Crosbyton; two sisters, Edith Mitchell of Ft. Worth and Barbara Stone of San Angelo; and two grandchildren, Bradley Harris, and Rebekkah Harris both of Ralls.

Pallbearers were Alan Crausbay, Art Griffin, James Leatherwood, Jackie Hamersley, G.J. "Buzz" Parkhill, Don Ferree, Roger Smith and William Upchurch. Honorary pallbearers were Dub Griffin, Jimmy Long and Robert Collier.
