CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Donald William Ballard Sr., 66, of Crosbyton are pending with Adams Funeral Home.
He was pronounced dead at 9:50 a.m. Friday at his residence. Justice of the Peace Clyde Davis ruled the death due to natural causes.
Ballard was born in Crosbyton. He married Lois Anderson on April 2, 1947, in Hobbs, NM. He owned Ballard Well Service for 30 years and was active in Boy Scouts. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of the VeteranĀ“s of Foreign Wars and First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Donny Jr. of Lubbock, Steve of Tulsa, Okla., and Joe Dale of Crosbyton; two daughters, Arduth Kay Johnson of Crosbyton and Pam Ballard of Rush Spring, Okla.; his mother, Jessie Ballard of San Bernardino, Calif.; four sisters, Vinnie Mae Long of Crosbyton, Mavis Wallace of Fontana, Calif., and Reva Raines and Marjorie Oliver, both of San Bernardino; and 11 grandchildren.
