John Sundheimer, 75, of Wolfforth died Saturday. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Monterrey Baptist Church, and burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery. John's family will receive friends at Rix Funeral Directors on Monday from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

John was born in Wabash, Ind. on June 24, 1933 to Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Shoemaker) Sundheimer. He graduated school there, and he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. John had worked for General Telephone for thirty years, and another fifteen years for Alcatel Corp. in just about every phase of telecommunications.

He was deeply involved in Kairos Prison Ministry and Emmaeus Ministry.

Survivors are his wife, Wanda; daughters, Sherryl Bussell and husband Gary of Plano; Terri Bullock and husband John of Corinth, Texas; Kim Churchwell and husband Gary of Lubbock; and Penny Willis of Brownfield; sons, Craig Sundheimer and wife Cheryl of Albuquerque; Doug Sundheimer and wife Kelly of Fredericksburg; Brian Sundheimer and wife Lynn of Artesia, N.M.; a brother, Jim Sundheimer and wife Priscilla of Warsaw, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His parents and one brother preceded John in death.
