*Obituary
Russell Beckwith, 84, 1130 N. Hedgecoke, died Wednesday in Claude.
A retired building contractor, he was a native of Allen, Kansas, and a Borger resident for 46 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, Methodist Men and Borger Noon Lions Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Rena Gay Dorsett of Borger; one brother, Clifford Beckwith of Amarillo; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Nathan, one daughter, Jimmie, and his wife, Screnia Beckwith.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with Rev. Glenneth Harrington and Rev. Lloyd Hamilton, officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
