Final rites will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock in the First Christian church for Benjamin F. Bennett, of 110 Frome [sic] street, Borger.

A resident of Borger since 1928, Bennett died Friday morning at 5:20 o'clock in an Amarillo hospital. He was 74 years old.

Prior to coming to Borger, Bennett was an official of the Lingleville Christian college and later was organization manager of the West Texas Chamber of Commerce. He has been retired for several years now. He was a graduate of the University of Texas.

Survivors include three sons, S.W. Bennett, F.W. Bennett and D.W. Pixley, all of Borger; two daughters, Mrs. Johnnie Marion of Borger and Mrs. W.F. McCracken of Brownfield; a sister, Mrs. Charles McDonald of Stephensville [sic], and seven grandchildren.

Following services by the Rev. Richard Clayborne, interment will be at the Highland Park cemetery. The Boxwell funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers include Marion Mitchell, J.W. Bennett, A.T. Roscoe, Marvin E. Madden, Carl Disney, and Lee Gibson.
