Services for Lonette Lindsey, 88, of Brownfield will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, in Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don McWhorter officiating. Burial will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be today, March 22, 2013, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Brownfield Funeral Home. Lonette was born July 15, 1924, in Lake City, Ark., to John Edward and Frieda Stovall. She attended Draughn's Business College. She married Woodson W. Lindsey on Nov. 6, 1947, in Brownfield. They were partners with Rogers and Melba Lindsey in the ownership of Lindsey Hardware in Brownfield and Denver City. Lonette was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward and Frieda Stovall, and husband, Woodson W. Lindsey. Lonette is survived by her son, Woody Lindsey and wife, Patti, of Denver City; three daughters, Ann Bell and husband, David, of Abilene, Beth Brian and husband, Randy, of Lubbock, and Jane Cook and husband, Farley, of Levelland; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Arnatta Stovall; cousin, Joe Dorothy Jons; nephew, Phillip Lindsey; and niece, Robin King. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial to your local humane society.
