Funeral services for Claude G. "Lefty" Blair, 79, Borger, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Dr. Ihsan Arhhumerumly, pastor First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Masonic gravesite rites will be under the auspice of Masonic Lodge No. 1242. Masons will meet at the Masonic Hall at 1 p.m. Friday.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Blair died Saturday, July 25, in Virginia-Mason Hospital in Seattle, Wash.

A native of Kirby, Wash., he had been a Borger resident since 1934. He was corporate director of purchasing for J.M. Huber Corp. He was a Methodist, 32nd Degree Mason, played baseball for the Borger Gassers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Patterson Blair in 1982.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Preas of Borger; two brothers, Lawrence Blair and Ronald Frazer, both of Washington; five great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Troy Preas, Pat Preas, Troy McGee, James Martinez, Terry Timmons, and Elmo Dusenbery.

The Rev. Lyman Paul Wood, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiated.

Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery.

A native of Silverton, she had been a Borger resident for 42 years. She was a housewife, and member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Claude "Lefty" Blair; a daughter, Cindy Preas of Perryton; two sisters, Katherine Stark of Riverside, Calif., and Vera Ruth Schwab of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Joe Jim Shackelford of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren.
