J.E. "Jack" Bloyd, 75, of 1 Carson, died Monday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.
A retired mechanic for J. M. Huber, he was a native of Beverly, Kansas, and a Borger resident since 1943, having moved here from Lamar, Colorado.
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Isom Masonic Lodge 1142, and married the former Margaret A. Hendrick on September 7, 1965 in Canyon.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of the home; one son, Don Bloyd of Borger; one stepson, Bob Webb of Columbus, Miss; one step-daughter, Sarah Sisson of Houston; four sisters, Reva Davidson of LaJunta, Colo., Nellie Deeter of Lamar, Colo., Ione Saulmon of Rockyford, Colo., Betty Foster of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Bill Bloyd of Denver, Colo., Don Bloyd of Pueblo, Colo.; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchilddren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Skaggs, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Margaret Alice Bloyd
BORGER - Margaret Alice Bloyd, 88, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at Newton, Kan.
Memorial services will be at Presbyterian Manor at Newton, Kan. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memory Lane Garden at Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. D. Jay Lewis, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Bloyd was born in Fort Worth. She retired from Sears as a saleswoman. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the WMU at the church and was a board member of Helping Hands.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. "Jack" Bloyd, in 1987.
Survivors include a son, Bob Webb of Columbus, Miss.; a stepson, Don Bloyd of Borger; a daughter, Sarah Sisson of El Dorado, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to Alzheimer's Research, 15825 Shady Grove Road, Suite 140, Rockville, Md.
