Eldon W. (Pee Wee) Bartley of Happy Union was buried in Crosbyton Cemetery following 2 p.m. Saturday funeral rites in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Lacy, pastor, officiated.
Arrangements were under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Bartley, 41, was pronounced dead at 10 a.m. last Thursday at a farm 16 miles south of Plainview by Justice of the Peace Glenn Stone. A ruling on the cause of death was pending the autopsy results.

Born July 30, 1936, in Grandfield, Okla., Eldon W. Bartley was married Oct. 29, 1955 to Emma Rasco in Lorenzo. He was a member of the Happy Union Baptist Church.

A farmer, Mr. Bartley moved to the Happy Union area four years ago from Levelland.

Survivors include his wife, Emma of Happy Union; two sons, Thomas Wayne Bartley, stationed in Camp Pendleton, Calif., with the U.S. Marine Corps, and Donald James Bartley of the home; five daughters, Peggy Ann, Glenda Joyce, Patricia Diane, Rebecca Ruth, and Kathy Jo Bartley, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Bartley of Lorenzo; one brother, R.H. (Kilroy) Bartley of Petersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Hart of Jefferson, Mo., Mrs. Mary Lou Richardson of Meads, Kan., and Mrs. Betty Sue Nichols of Floydada.
