Final Rites Held For Mrs. Lucy Waits

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Waits,73, who died Wednesday in Dallas at the home of her daughter, were held in Lampasas Friday, Oct. 9, at 10 a. m. at the First Street Church of Christ. Ben West, minister of the church officiated.
Burial was in Pebble Grove cemetery, near Maysfield.
Mrs. Waits was born in Alabama on Dec. 10, 1880, and came to Milam County at an early age. She married William Waits, who was a Maysfield merchant, in 1894. Mr. Waits died 19 years ago.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. M. M. Medart, Lampasas; Mrs. William Sanders, Dallas; Mrs. T. H. Creekmore, San Marcos; Mrs. Curry Walker, Fullerton; Mrs. Joe Lonac of Aberdeen, Washington; three sons, N. W. Waits, Odessa; E. R. Waits, Hearne; E. T. Waits, Miles.
Five brothers, W. D. Scroggins of Amarillo; Allen and Percy Scroggins of San Angelo; Jim Scroggins of Houston; Willie Scroggins of Alvin.
