Services for Mrs. Etta Mae Braden, 88, of Fort Worth, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church in Phillips, with the Rev. Shad Rue, pastor of the Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo, and the Rev. W.R. Lawrence, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Braden died at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Fort Worth.
A native of Red Oak, Okla., she had been a resident of Borger for 51 years. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Phillips, Past Noble Grand of Borger Rebekah Lodge No. 286, and a member of Opportunities, Inc.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Porter in 1955, and two sons, Frank in 1974 and R.R. Spooks in 1978.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Betty Watson of Fort Worth; three sons, Jim of Rankin, Wayne of Baytown, and Bill of Osawatomie, Kan.; one sister, Mrs. Artie Hardwick of Borger; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
The family will be staying at 801 Evergreen.
