SANFORD - James Franklin Brazeal, 90, of 220 E. Main St., a longtime area resident died at 5 a.m. Saturday in North Plains Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church of Sanford. The Rev. Leo McMahan, pastor of the Central Baptist Church of Borger, will officiate.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton Mortuary.
Mr. Brazeal was born Oct. 16, 1882, in Salem, Ark. He was a retired employee of the Henderson Trust Plant and had lived 36 years in the area.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen Elizabeth; one son, Curtis R. of Sanford; one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Gallaspy of Sanford; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Redburn of Stinnett; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Elizabeth Brazeal, 96, of 220 E. Main, Sanford, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday from Sanford Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Hughes, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary.
Mrs. Brazeal died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at North Plains Hospital.
She had been a resident of Sanford for the past 40 years and was a member of Sanford Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Curtis Ray Brazeal of Sanford; a daughter, Mrs. Hattie Gallaspy of Sanford; a brother, Curtis Vaughn of Long Beath, Wash.; 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be Jimmy Ray Brazeal, Earnest Lee Brazeal, Hershel Wayne Brazeal, Curtis Leon Brazeal, James Gallaspy and Ryan Gallaspy.
Honorary casketbearers will be Randy Purcell, Johnny Blake, Al Alexander, Bobby Dunnigan, Bill Horton, Joe Ellison, Roger Brazeal, Bobby Brazeal, Timmy Brazeal.
