*Obituary
Services are pending for Norman J. Cain, 65, of 406 W. Grand, who was dead on arrival at North Plains Hospital Saturday morning after suffering an apparent heart attack.
A resident of Borger since 1927, Mr. Cain came to Borger from Dallas. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Company in March 1978 after 42 years of service.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and a member of the National Audubon Society. He had been awarded the Silver Beaver Award, highest award given in scouting for adult leaders.
He married the former Fern Fleming on March 19, 1936 in Amarillo.
Survivors include his wife; one son: Jim of Fort Worth; one daughter, Mrs. Aileen Jackson of Amarillo; one brother, George E. of Dallas; and four grandchildren.
