BORGER - Jackie Wayne Cannaday, 51, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Celebration Family Church in Fritch with the Rev. Dwight Kirksey, pastor and nephew, and Benny Kirksey officiating. Private family burial was in Highland Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., in Amarillo.

Mr. Cannaday was born Feb. 16, 1958, in Passaic, N.J., to Dock and Pat Cannaday. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a photojournalist from 1974 through 1980 in Korea. He married Judy Daniels on Aug. 16, 1992, in Borger. He worked as an electrician for Honeywell in Borger. He loved his family and many friends.

The family offers a special thanks to Thomas E. Creek Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Amarillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dock and Pat Cannaday; and a sister, Laurie Butcher Goforth.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Cannaday; three daughters, Milisa Thacker, Jacquline Smith and Christa Cannaday, all of Amarillo; a sister, Debbie Kirksey of Stinnett; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
