Charles Gary Bostick was born in Dallas on October 9, 1945 to Maureen (Abels) and Charles Thurman Bostick.

He graduated from Ralls High School in 1964.

In 1965 he began a lifelong career in the car business starting at J. D. Hufstedler Truck Co. in Lubbock, Logan Buick in Ralls and later Alderson Cadillac in Lubbock. In 1970, Gary started Bostick’s Auto and Truck Sales at 210 E. 34th Street before moving to 23rd and Texas Avenue in 1975 where he sold cars and trucks to many people across the South Plains. In 1988, Gary moved to Lake Brownwood and a short time later brought the car dealership to Brownwood.

Gary was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Yellowhouse Lodge #841 in Lubbock and the Khiva Shrine in Amarillo.

Gary is survived by his wife Sharon of Brownwood; three children, Mike Bostick and Rhonda Harmon of Brownwood, Don Bostick and wife Stephanie of Brownwood and their children, Dylan and Dustin of College Station and daughter Lisa Meacham and husband Justin and their children, Wyatt, Ryland and Jaelee, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at his home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Brown County Boys and Girls Club, 1701 Ave L, Brownwood, 76801.
