MONAHANS (Staff) - Services for Lewis Alonzo Carrell, 33, who was killed in an oilfield mishap near here Wednesday afternoon, were to be at 10 a.m. today in Hammond Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Borger (Tex.) Cemetery.
Carrell, a floor hand for Taggard Well Service Inc., Grandfalls, received head and chest injuries when he was crushed between a walking beam and a tubing board on a clean out rig on the Mobil Oil Co. lease.
Carrell had lived here five years, and had been with the company since 1964. He was born April 16, 1932, at Brownfield. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Lewis A. Carrell, 33, of Monahans, former resident of Stinnett, was killed in an industrial accident Wednesday.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today from Hammond Funeral Home Chapel at Monahans.
Carrell will lie in state at Simpson Funeral Chapel here after services until Saturday afternoon when interment will be conducted at Highland Park Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Vera; two daughters, Lisa and Jo Fay of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe W. Carrell of Skellytown; five sister, including Miss Susan Carrell of Skellytown; and five brothers.
