NEW BOSTON, TEXAS-
Edward Lee Yates, age 85, of New Boston, Texas passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Yates was born February 13, 1922 in Hooks, Texas. He was a retired Mechanic with Red River Army Depot.
Survivors include his wife, Lou Yates of New Boston, three daughters and two sons in law; Yvonne and George Gumaer of Terrell, Texas, Daphene and James Morrison of New Boston, Texas and Charlene Caver of Frisco, Texas, five grandsons; Mike Frost of Tyler, Texas, Jeremy Smith and Gregory Smith of Murchison, Texas, Christopher Caver of McKinney, Texas Jason Scotts of New Boston, Texas, 9 great grandchildren and a number of nieces nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, April 16, 2007, in the Bates Rolf Funeral Home Chapel, New Boston, with Rev. James Boyd Strain officiating. Burial will be in Ringwood Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.. Visitation will be 5:00pm-7:00pm, Sunday, April 15, 2007, at the funeral home.
