*Obituary
BORGER - A.P. "Al" Chaffin, Jr., 61, died Thursday at North Plains Hospital.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Ed Brown and Sons Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Ron Wilson, pastor of the First Christian Church in Elkart [sic] Kan., officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mr. Chaffin was a resident of Borger one year moving here from Waco. He was a retired contractor and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include the widow, Ruth; one son, Donald of Las Vegas, Nev.; his mother, Mrs. Bonnie T. Chaffin of Waco; three brothers, Dr. C.R. Chaffin of Shamrock, G. Boyd Chaffin of Waco and Robert Y. Chaffin of San Antonio; one sister, Mrs. Clayborne B. Dunning of Bruceville; and five grandchildren.
