Funeral services for Cecil C. Chaney, 87, Borger, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. Tunis Schuurman, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mr. Chaney died Thursday, Feb. 1, 1996 in North Plains Care Center.

A native of Martins Mill, he had been a Borger resident for 59 years. He was an employee of Justrite Cleaners for 26 years, and Cole's Cleaners, and Dilly Bakery. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church where he was Sunday school teacher for 25 years. He was named "Friendliest and Most Courteous" man in Borger for three years.

He married Jean Morgan on Dec. 29, 1982 in Borger.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Delain Chaney of Dallas; and Yandle Yeary of San Antonio; three daughters, Yola Lewright of Holdenville, Okla.; Yalanda Beckwith of Amarillo; and Jonell Johnson of Weir; a sister, Arline Baker of Borger; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Casketbearers will be Larry Mesneak, Kenneth Ray, Roy Lively, J.D. Jeter, J.C. Gunter, and Bill Anderson.

Lura Voncile Cluck Chaney, 77, of 813 W. Tenth, died at 2:30 a.m. today in her home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons.

A housewife, Mrs. Chaney was born in Gruver. She had been a Borger resident for 33 years. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil; a son, Delain of Dallas; three daughters, Edna Mae Dooley of Dalhart, Charlene Van Hooser of Borger and Lavon Fay Stewart of Dalhart, five brothers, Same, Eldon, Gene, Pete and Pike Cluck, all of Gruver; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Bretz and Mrs. Mary Lamb, both of Gruver; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
