Church Services for Melba Clarrisa Floyd Decker, 96, of Paducah will be held on Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Paducah with Bro. David Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home of Paducah. Mrs. Decker passed from this life on March 27, 2015 in Childress. Visitation will be held on Monday March 30, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Melba was born on July 19, 1918 in Trousdale, Oklahoma to Audie Wade Perkins and Stella Mitchell Perkins. She married Cecil Floyd and to this union they had three children; Neil, Clarissa and Patricia. She married Francis Decker in 1994.
Melba was a homemaker. She loved flowers, family and friends. She was a very nurturing lady who always did for others. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Neil Floyd and wife Brownie of Granbury, Clarissa (C.C) Rasbury and husband Maurice of Mansfield, and Patricia Wilkins and husband Floyd of Paducah.
One Sister: Inez Bratcher of Okalahoma City, OK.
Three Brothers: Richard Perkins and wife Lily of Amarillo, Urschel Perkins and wife Iva of Hooker, OK., and Murrey Perkins and wife Elaine of Illinois.
Four Grandsons, and four great grandsons.
She is preceded in death by both of her husbands: Cecil Floyd and Francis Decker, her parents; Audie Wade and Stella Perkins, one sister; Mildred Guinn, and three brothers; Bill Perkins, Cass Perkins, and Randall Perkins.
