Janis Oney, age 82, of Lake Brownwood, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018.
Janis was born August 3, 1935 in Archer City to Harry Tilman and Maggie Corrine (Norman) Ivy.
She attended college at Western University in Silver City, New Mexico. She was a Baptist and a member of the Santana Chapter 247 of Eastern Star. Janis loved to dance, camping and crafting.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children, Vicki Burrell and husband, Bruce of Lake Brownwood and Connie Marie Gibson of Lake Brownwood; grandchildren, Cynthia Ann Van Curen, James Bryan Schleglemilch and wife, Tessa; Gina Nichole Carter, Martha Marie Landin and Jessica Lynn Hanson; many great grandchildren; one great-great grandson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John A. Oney; son, Bryan Gibson; parents; brother, Jackie Joe Ivy, twin sister, Jencie Lee Landry and infant sister, Nancy Janell Ivy.
