Services for John Glenn Stroup, 73, of Brownfield will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
John died Aug. 14, 2005 at Brownfield Regional Medical Center.
John was born Dec 27, 1931 in Harlingen, Texas. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1951. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict until his discharge in 1955. He married Pauleta Gracey, July 1, 1960 in Brownfield. He was employed by Halliburton as a Field Supervisor for 38 years before retiring in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Pauleta of Brownfield; 2 sons, Stephen Stroup of Hobbs, NM and Kelvin Stroup of Denton, Texas; and a granddaughter Ashley of Lubbock.

Pauleta Sue Stroup BROWNFIELD-Services for Pauleta Sue Stroup, 77, of Brownfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, in Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Pauleta was born Oct. 15, 1935, to Paul and Lorene (Hoggard) Gracey in Brownfield. She graduated from Union High School and then attended Abilene Christian University where she received her B.A. in education. Pauleta married John Glenn Stroup in Brownfield on July 1, 1960. She was a member of the Brownfield Church of Christ. Pauletta was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lorene Gracey, and her husband, John Glenn Stroup. Pauleta is survived by two sons, Steve Stroup and wife Tracey of Alvarado, and Kelvin Stroup and wife Mickey of Denton; granddaughter, Ashley Stroup of Lubbock; great-granddaughter, Laila Garcia; two sisters, Judy Miller and husband Wayne of Georgetown, and Trudy Mosley and husband Ronnie of Abilene.
