*Obituary
Mrs. J.L. Childress, 39, died at her home in the Alexander carbon camp early this morning following a year's confinement because of a heart ailment.

Mr. Childress is employed by the United Carbon Co. They have been here 10 years, coming from Amite, La.

Funeral services for Mrs. Childress, who was a member of the Church of Christ, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the chapel of Carver Bros. Funeral Home, with Brother W.F. McDonald officiating.

Besides the husband, survivors include a daughter, Bobby Jean, 4, one brother, J.D. Vernon of Borger; and three sisters, Mrs. A.C. Phares and Mrs. O.E. Cheatham of Borger, and Mrs. Maude Lambert of Amite.

Pallbearers will be Joe Easter, J.S. Holder, Charles Schwer, G.W. Roofe, Jim Nix, and "Red" Sheets.

Interment will be in Highland cemetery.
