OBITUARY
Former Resident Of Cottle County Dies
PADUCAH, Texas, Aug 20 — Final rites will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Norris Funeral Chapel for Mrs. W. E. (Bertie) Nixon, former long-time Cottle County resident. Rev. J. R. Smallwood, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Mrs. Nixon died Thursday [Aug 18] at Muskogee, Okla., following a heart attack.
She was born January 11, 1886, in Lamar County, near Paris, and lived for a number of years in Cottle County. For the past three years she had resided at Muskogee.
Survivors include one son, Clifford Nixon, Muskogee, Okla.; one daughter, Mrs. Seth Woods, Oklahoma City; and a sister, Mrs. Jimmy Hutton, Paris.
