Claudean Colvert Place, 75, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Randy Srader, executive pastor of Southwest Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger.
Mrs. Place was born in Athens. She lived in Borger from 1957 to 1998, when she moved to Amarillo. She married Lawrence E. Place in 1998 in Amarillo. Mrs. Place owned Tops & Bottoms, and later worked for Special Effects beauty salon prior to her retirement. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Colvert in 1993; and a sister, Eloise Owens in 1998.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Patricia Gentry of Big Spring; a sister, Joan Clifton of Amarillo; a niece, Beverly Kimbrough; two nephews, Gary Don Owens and Jimmy Clifton; and her stepchildren, Larry Place, Pete Place, Paula Powers and Linda Place.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
