*Obituary
Joseph Barton Cox, local roofing contractor and a resident of Borger for the past 10 years, died late Sunday in the North Plains Hospital as the result of a heart ailment.

He made his home at 618 Franklin and was 63 years old.

Survivors are his wife, Alma Hazel; four sons, Glen Roy, 515 Franklin, Borger; Douglas of Wichita, Kansas; Joseph Barton, Jr., 115 Froma, Borger; Floyd Harold, 206 Veta, Borger; one daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Haney, 622 Lee; one brother, Luther Cox, Oak;land, California; three sisters, Mrs. Nath Hobbs, Hastings, Okla.; Mrs. Frank Melton, Artesia, N.M.; Mrs. Alvin Hightower, Oakland, California and six grandchildren.

Final services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Amos R. Meador, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be made in the local cemetery under the direction of Simpsons Funeral Home.
