Funeral services for James Rudolph Cox, 59, of 219 Teague, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Wesley Methodist Church with the Rev. Royce Womack, pastor, officiating.
Military graveside rites will be under the auspices of Borger V.F.W. in Highland Park Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Minton Mortuary.
Cox died at 5 a.m. Sunday in North Plains Hospital.
He was born Sept. 8, 1915 in Eldorado, Ark. He had been a resident of Borger for the past 23 years and was an operator for Phillips Petroleum Company at Plains Plant.
He was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church, the VFW and the 2nd Division Organization. He served in the army in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille of the home; a son, John of Denton; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Holt of Downers Grove, Ill.; two brothers, Truman Cox and R.C. Mayes, Jr., both of Borger; three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Brown of Borger, Mrs. Ethel McKee of Corbin, Ky., and Nellie Cox of South Pasadena, Calif.; his stepfather, R.C. Mayes Sr. of Borger; and three grandchildren.

BORGER - Marion Lucille Cox, 80, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, in Austin.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Highland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and a longtime caregiver for the aged. She was a former resident of Borger.
Survivors include a son, John Cox of Austin; a daughter, Nancy Holt of Western Springs, Ill.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
