Graveside services for Carl Benard Pye, 77, of Brownfield will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery, with Jody O'Briant officiating.

Carl passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, in Brownfield. He was born Jan. 30, 1930, in Lincoln Perish, La., to Ed and Gracie Pye. He graduated from Ruston, La. High School. He moved to Brownfield in 1954. He married Johnie Benthall Jan. 27, 1955, in Brownfield. He farmed in the Union Community for over 45 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

He is survived by his wife, Johnie of Brownfield; two sons, Randy Pye of Knoxville, Tenn. and Mark Pye of Brownfield; a daughter, Susan Iverson of Sugerland; and a granddaughter, Courtney Pye of Birmingham, Ala.

The family suggests memorials to Terry Co. Cemetery Assoc. or charity of ones choice.
