*Obituary
Dr. Crosby was a Borger dentist for 53 years before retiring in 1978. Crosby moved to Borger during its start as a boomtown in February 1927. He was a friend of the town's namesake, Ace Borger, and he broke the news of the founder's death to Borger's wife in 1934.
A native of Montevideo, Minn., Crosby earned his degree in dentistry at Marquette University, and he served as a first lieutenant in the Dental Corps during World War I.
He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, the Texas Dental Association and was a lifetime, charter member of the Borger Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pat Johnson of Borger and Mrs. Eileen Bain of Beaumont; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
