*Obituary
Services for Cecil Darden, 70, of 1312 Jolly St., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Darden died at 12:20 p.m. Monday in North Plains Hospital.
A native of Georgetown, he had been a Borger resident since 1937. He was owner of Gulf Oil Products. He was a World War II veteran, a Baptist and member of the Elks Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona, in 1981.
Survivors include two sons, Clark "Scooter" Darden and Doug Darden, both of Borger; a brother, D.L. Darden of Borger; four sisters, Gladys Kolander of Mount Pleasant, Merl Fink of Naples, Texas, Margaret Gaddis of Gilmer, and Mildred Rape of Pittsburg, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Denny, Doyle Waters, Lester Wiles, Lee Dunham, Claude Robinson and Scotty Pullen.
