Homer Lee Dent, Jr., 75, Borger, died Saturday, March 9, 1991 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ihsan Ardhuerumly, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

A native of Littleton, W.Va., he had been a Borger resident for 46 years. He was a retired electrician with Phillips Petroleum Company.

Mr. Dent was a member of First United Methodist Church, Borger Evening Lions Club, and a lifetime member of disabled American Veteran.

He married Billie G. Irvin April 27, 1945 in Pampa.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rue Davidson of Amarillo; and Doris Jean Bledsoe of Pryor, Okla.; one brother, Cliff Lewis of Borger; and one sistser, Mary Jo Lewis of Borger; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Borger Evening Lions Club.

Billie G. Dent, 92, of Amarillo, formerly of Borger, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008.

Private services for the family will be by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Dent was born Billie Geneva Irvin on March 15, 1915, in Guthrie, Okla., to Ellis and Frances Irvin. She was a longtime resident of Borger, where she worked as an office assistant for Dr. Whitesides and was also a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Borger Evening Lions Club, Jane Phillips sorority, and Ladies Chamber of Commerce.

A heartfelt thank you to all the staff of Heritage Convalescent Center who cared for and loved Nana. Heritage, the place Billie called home for the past 10 years, was special to her not only because of the love she gave and received from the staff, but because she was surrounded by family. Her daughter, Rue Davidson, worked as a nurse at Heritage for 25 years. Ruegena Davidson, her granddaughter, is the administrator.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee Dent Jr., in 1991; and a daughter, Rue Davidson, in 2004.

She is survived by a daughter, Doris Jean Bledso; a son, C.H. Curtright; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Activities Fund, Heritage Convalescent Center, 1009 Clyde St., Amarillo, TX 79106.
