Pearll Thompson GLOVER

Englewood Cemetery
Lubbock County,
Texas

1900-1949

Wife of Golden G Thompson
Wife of Tom Glover
Pearl White Thompson Glover ,was married two times ,first to Golden Guice Thompson,in Amarillo ,Texas and then to his Cousin C. Tom Glover of Brownwood on March 27 ,1904.All though records and family memories such as they were said she had no children by either of them ,When you look at the size of the family Plot Golden bought in the height of the depression, one must doubt that. Also in Spring of 1979 i visited the grave site.Their best friends are buried in the far left corner and they are buried in the middle top.Thse people were in Eastern Star with the Thompson's and are just friends. there are a great many empty spots and the plot is now marked with Marble bricks around the whole outline with corner markers with a T on top. Golden and Pearl's Markers are far newer than than their burials. I visited the only place you could buy markers in Slayton. The man said his dad had handled the sale of the new markers only a few years ago and he remembered there being several families there when it was done. when it was time to pay he showed me were 5 men and one woman divided up the cost ??? Could these be sons and a daughter ??? No one in my family had seen him since before 1919.So there may be children , why else would you buy over twenty plots in the depression ?? After Pearl's death Tom Glover buried her there instead of Brownwood, were he was to be buried .
