PADUCAH, Texas - John Arthur Ballard, 16, of Dalhart, Texas, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, in a Dallas hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church in Paducah with the Rev. Henry Salley of Plainview, Texas, and the Rev. Jeff Utter, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Seigler Funeral Home.

Mr. Ballard was born Feb. 14, 1982, in Paducah. He lived in Paducah until 1993 and had lived in Lone Star, Texas, and Andrews, Texas, before moving to Dalhart three weeks ago.

Survivors include his parents, Roy and Cynthia Ballard of Dalhart; and his grandparents, Arthur Burr Morris and Awanda Morris, both of Dalhart, and Jewel McGon of Paducah.

Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2929 Carlisle, Dallas, Texas 75204 or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
