Connie Gonzales of Lubbock departed this life Friday, May 7, 2004, in Lubbock at the age of 52 years.
She was born March 3, 1952 in Slaton to the late Anastacio and Eusebia Torres Gonzales. She was a lifelong resident of the Lubbock area. Consuelo was a surgical tech and phlebotomist. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony E. Velasquez, on Aug. 8, 1984.
Those left to mourn her passing include a daughter, Nancy Gonzales of Lubbock; two brothers, Manuel S. Gonzales of Ft. Worth and Robert Moreno of Nevada; four sisters, Marina Gallegos and Christina Davila, both of San Antonio, Ellie Zapata and Annie Velgara, both of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew and Audrey Gonzales, and Esaiah Rodriguez.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2004, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery in Slaton under the direction of White Funeral Home of Lubbock.
