Services for Horace William Blevins, 93, of Lubbock, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, at St. John's United Methodist Church, with Rev. Bobby McMillan and Rev. Don Echols officiating. Burial will follow in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mr. Blevins passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in Lubbock's Covenant Medical Center. He was born Sept. 25, 1913, in Keller, to the late Gaines and Maddie (Biggs) Blevins. On Nov. 27, 1936, he married Laura Jean Rhew in Lubbock.
Horace was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. A farmer, retiring in 1948, he had also worked for Gifford-Hill and Holland Gardens. He moved to Lubbock from Idalou.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Blevins of Lubbock.
