BORGER - Durward Marshall Dorris, 84, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. John Denton officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

A native of Webb City, Mo., Mr. Dorris was a Borger resident for 56 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired as operator for Gulf Oil Co. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he was post commander from 1957 until 1960.

He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Dorris, in 1995 and a son, Durward Randall Dorris, in 1952.

Survivors include a son, Mark Dorris of Canadian; a daughter, Jean Seiss of Santa Fe, N.M.; a brother, W.E. Dorris of Panhandle; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
