May 27, 1921 - April 26, 1977
RALLS (Special) — Services for L.W. "Blacky" Bownds, 55, of Lorenzo, will be in Lorenzo First Baptist Church today at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Meeks, pastor, and the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor of Ralls First Baptist Church, both officiating.
Burial will follow in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home here.
Bownds died about 6 a.m. Tuesday in Amarillo of an apparent heart attack.
The construction worker had lived in the Ralls area all of his life and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Jo; a son, David Earl of Nazareth, a daughter, Miss Myra Diane Bownds of Lorenzo, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.T. Bownds of Ralls; a brother, Sammie of Ralls, three sisters, Mrs. Myra Timmons of Lubbock, Mrs. Pat Bales of Ralls, and Mrs. Peggy Campbell of Plainview
