*Obituary
Funeral services for Vernie R. Eagan, 67, Rt. 6, Fritch Highway will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Borger. Rev. Winfred Moore, pastor, will officiate.
Eagan died at 3:15 a.m., Saturday at a local hospital. He had been a resident of Borger since 1928.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha; five sons, Doyal, Edgar, William, Robert, all of Borger, and Teddy of Seaside, California.
Other survivors include seven daughters, Etta of Lubbock; Mrs. E.K. Knight of San Diego; Mrs. Lois Heardman, Eudora, Kan.; Mrs. Joyce Luttrell, Sawyer, Kan.; and Mrs. Ruthie South, Dallas; Gloria Jones, Eunice, N.M.; Janet of Borger and 20 grandchildren.
