Brother Of Alfalfa Teacher Is Killed In Michigan Wreck
Funeral services for Hoyt Earnest, a brother of Jerry Earnest, vocational agriculture teacher at Alfalfa, were held Wednesday, August 2, at the First Baptist church at Phillips, Texas.
Hoyt Earnest, 28 years old, of Eagle Pass, Tex., was killed in a bus accident Sunday, August 2, near Saginaw, Mich. he was a passenger in the bus which had transported a group of laborers from Eagle Pass to Michigan. He was fatally injured when the bus went out of control and hit a tree.
The accident victim was the basketball coach and assistant football coach at Eagle Pass high school.
Survivors include his wife and two children, Donald, 7, and Danita Kay, 3, of Eagle Pass; his father who lives in Borger, Tex.; and six brothers, Jerry, of Alfalfa; Austin, who is stationed with the armed forces in North Africa; Ray, Skellytown, Tex.; Glenn, Stinnett, Tex.; Gaylen, Roswell, N.M.; and Wayne, Oklahoma City.
