*Obituary
John M. Farmer, 68, a resident of Borger since 1926 died at his home, 804 N. Cedar, early this morning following a heart attack.

A veteran of World War I, Farmer was a former Borger police chief, fire chief and city judge. He was also a member of the Elks.

Survivors include his wife, Goldie of the home; and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Ackerson of Joplin, Mo.

Arrangements are pending with Ed Brown, Funeral Directors.

Final rites for John M. Farmer, 68, former Borger police and fire chief and city judge, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ed Brown Funeral Director.

The Rev. Wayne Keith, assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate, and interment will be in the local cemetery.

Farmer, a resident of Borger since 1926, died early Friday morning following a heart attack.

Casket bearers will be M.M. Johnson, Vito Croaccholo, Jimmy Green, Ben Stokes, Walter Blankenburg and A.C. Paulsell.
