Rosia Marie Garmon of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at a local nursing center. She was 82.
Rosia was born September 18, 1930, in Hooks, Texas, to Theo and Essie Mae Daniel Jones. She was a Nurse and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Garmon in 2005; a son, Lewis Davis in 2010; a grandson, Montra Jones; and three brothers, Johnny, Floyd, Sr. and Daniel Jones.
She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Charlesetta and Bobby Rowden of New Boston, Texas; Tonyia Davis Sheilds of New Boston, Texas and Donna Garmon of De Kalb, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Dedria Davis of Lancaster, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Betty Jones of Crandall, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Elder Melvin Gray and Bro. Bobby Rowden officiating. Interment will follow at De Kalb Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
