PAMPA - Wilbur Leroy Ferrell, 80, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger with military rites by the U.S. Army from Fort Hood. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Ferrell was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1965, working as an operator for Celanese, retiring in 1988, and then driving for Panhandle Transit for six years.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ferrell of the home; three sons, Jerry Ferrell, Tony Ferrell and David Ferrell, all of Pampa; a brother, O. L. Ferrell of Snyder; a sister, A. Lee Ferrell of Dallas; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 621, Pampa, TX 79066-0621; or Odyssey Healthcare, 6900 W. Interstate 40, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
