*Obituary
Horace Edward Fite, 65, of 711 Missouri died Sunday evening in the Veteran's Hospital in Amarillo.

The owner of Fite's 66 Service Station, he was a native of Gowen, Okla., and a Borger resident for 32 years.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army in Europe, and a member of the VFW and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Eula; three sons, John and Howard of Borger and Lonnie of Phillips; two daughters, Brenda Cox of Hickory, N.C. and Lea Ann Benefield of Jay, Oklahoma; one brother, Harold of Sanford; five sisters, Mildred Lemley of Phillips, Leora Little of Grants Pass, Oregon, Connie Mitchell of Lane, Oklahoma, Ruth Capshaw of Tushka, Oklahoma, and Dorothy Little of Caney, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Faye Wilson; a brother, Harvey Fite and a sister, Bonnie McCullar, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
