*Obituary Vernon
Vernon G. Fletcher, 81, died Friday, May 23, 1997 at his home in Borger.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. John Denton, retired minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Eastlawn Garden under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
A native of Cooper, he had been a Borger resident since 1942.
He married Vesta Lynell Lane on April 2, 1938 in Cooper.
Mr. Fletcher was a member of Iron Workers Local #408 and the Memphis, Texas Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vesta Lane in 1992.
Survivors include three sons, Charles and Troy of Borger and Larry of Richardson; one brother, Mack Fletcher of Sunray; two sisters, Irene White of Pasadena, Texas and Dorothy Babvras of Dalhart.
Pall bearers will be Mike Fletcher, Jim Moneymaker, Scott Davis, Nicholas Vernon Fletcher, Eric Fletcher and Donald Ray Fletcher.
Memorial may be made to the Borger Opportunity Center 930 Illinois, Borger, Texas 79007.

*Obituary Vesta
Vesta Lynell Fletcher, 69, Borger, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 1992 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Bud Kidwell, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
A native of Hopkins County, Texas, she had been a Borger resident for 50 years. She was a homemaker and member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, V.G. of the home; three sons, Charles Fletcher and Troy Fletcher, both of Borger; and Larry Fletcher of Dallas; a brother, Eugene Fletcher of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tim Moneymaker, Mike Fletcher, Don Fletcher, Scott Davis, Jeff Jackson, and Robert Williams.
