Leonard Ray Forsythe
May 2, 1937 - November 2, 2016

Rev. Leonard R. Forsythe went to his Heavenly Home Wednesday, November 2, 2016.

Bro. Leonard was born May 2, 1937 in Johnson County, Texas to Embra Lee and Veola Marie (Smith) Forsythe. He married Margie Louise (McElroy) on October 21, 1955 in Cleburne, Texas.

Since 1962, he served as pastor of Bible Baptist Church, Borger. Bro. Leonard will forever be remembered for his smile and happy spirit. We all remember how he always greeted everyone with a hearty hand shake. We are thankful for his dedicated prayers for all, even those who were not members of his church family. His Nursing Home Ministry and hospital visits will never be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Leniel Ray Forsythe , 2 sisters: Faye and Joy.

He is survived by his precious wife, Louise; a son, Lencel Forsythe and Amanda McDaniel of Borger; a daughter, Lenise Cohn of Ft. Worth, Texas;a sister Evalene and husband Wayne of Glenrose, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Christopher McDonald, Cayton McDonald, Colton McDonald, Justin Cohn and Jacob Cohn and 9 great grandchildren: Gannon, Somara, Lola, Carolina, Ryan, Jackson, Paxton, Levi and Dylan.

Services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church, Borger.

Family visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains, Borger.
