Services for Orion W. "Boots" Brister, 79, of Crosbyton were conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, February 2, 1990 in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 1990 in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Ballinger and moved to Crosbyton in the early 1930s. He married Eva Nell Hale June 22, 1940, in Crosbyton. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He owned Brister´s Clock Shop. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 1020 and of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Nell Brister, two daughters, Mary Himmell of Crosbyton and Charlotte McKee of Saginaw; two sisters Vauda Gierhard of Shamrock and Alphea Stockton of Hobbs, NM; and three grandchildren.
