Mamie Frith, 81, died Tuesday Dec. 31, 1996 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Skaggs, pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of the Lake Meredith Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Vesperland Garden at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Casket bearers will be Don Brown, Kelly Fraley, Chris Beaudin, Kirk Swafford, Nathan Bailey and J.L. Chatwell.

Mrs. Frith was born April 16, 1915 in Stephenville; she had been a Borger resident since 1936. Mrs. Frith was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Borger, where she was a member of the Esther Sunday school class. She was a Charter Member of The Grandmothers Club and a member of the Royal Neighbors Club. Mrs. Frith had also served as a Gray Lady Volunteer at the Golden Plains Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Frith, in 1986.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Collins and Linda Chatwell, both of Borger, and Jo Dean Brown of Enid, Okla.; one brother, Earnest Tipton of Denver City, Texas; three sisters, Vinia Cain of Borger and Faye James and Edna Phillips, both of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Panhandle or the American Cancer Society.
